In addition to my soup, I'm sipping lots of spicy good tea. Here's one I came up with:
3 cups water
2 in piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
1 Tbsp loose licorice root tea
1/2 organic lemon cut into quarters
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp cayenne
a dash of cardamom
1 cinnamon stick broken in half
Simmer for about 10 minutes, strain and enjoy
