It makes all the difference in the world although it takes about 90 minutes to make brown rice and if you do GABA brown rice it takes about 3 hrs (supposed to make it better for you???). I know I should be able to make it on the stove but I never was very good at that. I still need to try quinoa in the rice cooker to see how that goes....

Thanks for the post. I'll use this when I need to make rice faster!Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03065822926290782641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8088040653567480196.post-40062666746213167262012-11-26T15:10:35.765-06:002012-11-26T15:10:35.765-06:00You should be able to find it in the asian section...You should be able to find it in the asian section of your supermarket. I've been making a frittata on sunday ...Lovely. I've been making a frittata on sunday mornings with my farmers market stuff and having it all week. It is such a nice way to start the day. My favorite combo so far is to saute zuchhini with a bit of good penzyes seasoned salt until it softens, but doesn't get too soft. Then I line the bottom of my pan with tomatoes and let them cook slightly. Layer in the zuchinni and then do a layer of fresh spinach. And, then put a pint of organic egg whites over it and let it set up. I'll finish it in the oven. And, then turn it over on a plate. It is fun making pretty food, isn't it? It was called 97 Orchard by Jane Ziegelman. It was an interesting book about the food immigrant groups from Europe ate when they came to America. It was an interesting book. It would be a great idea to write about the immigrant groups from the 20th century as this book focus on the end of the 19th century and the very beginning of the 20th century.Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03065822926290782641noreply@blogger.com
